About the role:

Join our Andrew Kerr Care team by servicing clients in Frankston City

At Uniting AgeWell, the quality of life and experience of our clients is at the heart of everything we do. We have exciting local Part-Time employment opportunities working shifts ranging Monday-Fridayduring daytime hours available, this role will see you travelling to Frankston, Carrum Downs, Karingal, Langwarrin, Sandhurst, Seaford and Skyeand surrounding communities. We are currently looking to grow our team with passionate and caring individuals in the following Part-Time role:

  • Home Care Worker (Relevant qualifications required)

If you're passionate about making a genuine impact in your local community and helping clients enjoy their independence and quality of life, this role might just be the perfect fit for you

Key responsibilities:

  • Primarily providing domestic assistance
  • Travel between client's home
  • Supporting clients with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Providing social support and transportation services as required
  • Providing personal care, including showering, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Ensure that client's rights, cultural, spiritual and other individual needs are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, provide effective support to clients, recognise changes in clients' conditions and escalate observations and concerns in accordance with Uniting AgeWell processes
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with clients, their relatives and friends
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Must have your own car (registered in your own name), valid insurance and a current Victorian driver's licence

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our clients to support them to live life to their potential whilst remaining in their home.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Qualifications:Certificate III/IV or equivalent in Individual Support (Aged or Disability) or equivalent (or currently studying a Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing)
  • First Aid & CPR: Current certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Driver's Licence: A valid Victorian licence and a roadworthy vehicle with insurance.
  • Commitment to Person-Centred Care: Strong understanding of community care and a dedication to delivering high standards for clients and families.
  • Team Player:Thrives in a collaborative team environment while valuing one-on-one client connections.
  • Experience in a home care setting or providing domestics support is desirable
  • Understanding of client directed care
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

  • A current Working With Children Check card (Employee)
  • Current and ongoing FLU vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
