Home Care Support Worker - Maribyrnong at Care Connect - Community Care Provider

Description

Care Connect is seeking dedicated, female* Home Care Support Workers to provide in-home support to our clients in Maribyrnong and surrounding areas. Care Connect is a not-for-profit organisation focused on helping people remain independent at home. We offer a collaborative, supportive environment and opportunities for learning and progression.

About The Role

As a Home Care Support Worker, you will deliver essential services including domestic duties (cleaning & laundry), personal grooming & hygiene assistance, medication reminders, food shopping, menu planning, meal preparation and mobility assistance within the home and local community. You will prioritise your clients' well-being and provide care and support to help them live independently.

Requirements
  • A fantastic attitude, great active listening skills and genuine interest in helping others
  • Certificate III (Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Home and Community Care), OR Bachelor/Diploma of Nursing (or completed first-year study towards it)
  • Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (essential)
  • First Aid and CPR certificate (not required to apply, but needed to commence work)
  • Excellent communication skills with good spoken and written English; proficiency in other languages is welcomed
  • Full Australian working rights; current Police Check and Working with Children Check (we can arrange police checks for successful candidates)
