Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Manager, Pilbara Region - Drive Excellence in WA Mining Services
Schlam Cru is looking for a one of a kind HME Manager, to champion our safety-first culture, and focusing on maximising opportunities via our strong client relationships ensuring consistent operational excellence across various sites in the Pilbara region.
We want a credible, hands-on leader who thrives on working with our awesome infield teams and Clients to deliver exceptional service quality.
You will lead by example by converting infield HME service opportunities with our high-profile Clients, acting as the key focal point between our clients, our infield employees; HSE, Coordinators, Recruitment, Mobilisation & Administration teams, as well as the Cru leadership team,
Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and Clients, your ability to identify and convert business growth opportunities and cross-selling across business units are second to none.
Your role will involve working with Clients to forecast resource requirements to meet ongoing demands, addressing team member issues, and ensuring budgets, targets, and strategic goals are met.
Regular site visits, client communication, and client development will be crucial to your success.
You will drive performance, maximise efficiency, and maintain adherence to internal systems, while fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement aligned with Schlam Cru's values.
What We're Looking For:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate: In Mobile Plant / Diesel Mechanic or a similar engineering trade.
- Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years working within the Western Australian mining mobile maintenance sector.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership or management role within mobile plant maintenance services.
- Team Mentorship: Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and develop teams across multiple remote sites.
- Safety Champion: Strong safety leadership with a hands-on and proactive approach to HSE.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Commercial Acumen: A results-driven mindset with sound commercial understanding.
- Exceptional Communicator: Confident and clear communication skills, coupled with excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- C-Class Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
- National Police Check (willing to obtain)
