Job Description

You won't find a polished playbook here. What you will find is:

  • Zero to One: Real startup chaos. If ambiguity makes you twitch, this isn't for you.

  • Intensity with Purpose: The grind is probably going to be real. But so is the impact. Your work will be live, visible, and shaping an industry.

  • Autonomy with Educated Risks: We back people who take bold, informed bets. Mavericks welcome.

  • Remote Now, IRL Later: We're starting remote, but Melbourne will soon be home to our new office, a place built for in-person energy and collaboration.

    Global Collaboration: Some of the team are based in San Francisco. You might jump on the occasional late call; that's what comes with building global from day one.

    Remarkable People, Remarkable Work: Ordinary won't cut it here. This is for builders who want agency, ownership, and outsized rewards.

What you'll be doing

  • Building backend services in that power an entirely new betting exchange.

  • Designing scalable systems that can handle the kind of volume you'd normally see at global banks.

    Working side by side with engineers, product, and design in our Melbourne hub

  • Shipping fast, iterating often, learning every day.
Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • 6+ years in software engineering , AWS, databases, scaling).

  • You've built, scaled, and maintained production systems.

  • You like ambiguity. You solve problems without waiting for someone else's instruction manual.

  • Bonus points if you've seen blockchain, sports betting, or fintech up close.
