At Magic Eden, we're building something that's never been done before: a global, always-on sports betting exchange designed to be the fairest in the world.     Global Collaboration: Some of the team are based in San Francisco. You might jump on the occasional late call; that's what comes with building global from day one.

What you'll be doing

  • Building backend services in that power an entirely new betting exchange.

  • Designing scalable systems that can handle the kind of volume you'd normally see at global banks.
    Working side by side with engineers, product, and design in our Melbourne hub

  • Shipping fast, iterating often, learning every day.

What you'll bring

  • 6+ years in software engineering , AWS, databases, scaling).

  • You've built, scaled, and maintained production systems.

  • You like ambiguity. You solve problems without waiting for someone else's instruction manual.

  • Bonus points if you've seen blockchain, sports betting, or fintech up close.

This is not a safe 9–5. You can get that anywhere.
This is high-impact, high-agency, high-reward.
