Job Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HCM Consultant with expertise in mergers and acquisitions  to support the integration and transformation of human capital strategies during organizational transitions. The consultant will play a critical role in assessing workforce impacts, aligning HR policies and optimizing HCM systems. We are looking for who can demonstrate hands-on HR systems data migration experience in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) contexts, including Day-1/MVP scoping.

Bring strong workshop facilitation experience and structured communication

Location: Sydney

Key Responsibilities (Project based dependency on in scope activities):

M&A Due Diligence

  • Conduct HR due diligence, including workforce analysis, compensation structures, benefits, and compliance risks
  • Identify potential HR-related liabilities and risks associated with the transaction

Integration Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute HCM integration strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Harmonize HR policies, procedures, and employee contracts across merging entities
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and restructuring activities

Change Management & Communication

  • Design and implement change management strategies to support employees during transition
  • Partner with leadership to ensure transparent communication and employee engagement
  • Facilitate cultural integration and alignment of organizational values

HCM Systems & Technology

  • Assess existing HRIS/HCM platforms and recommend system integration or migration strategies
  • Support data migration, system configuration, and process standardization
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and labor regulations

Talent & Workforce Strategy

  • Advise on retention strategies for key talent during and after the merger
  • Support leadership assessment, succession planning, and workforce optimization
  • Provide insights on compensation harmonization and benefits alignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, HRCI, or SAP/Oracle HCM certifications are a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in **HR consulting, HCM systems, or M&A advisory
  • Proven track record in HR due diligence, workforce integration, and change management
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience with leading HCM platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
