The Opportunity 

We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our Finance team and ensure the smooth processing of parent account transactions across G8 Education's network of 400+ early learning centres nationwide. This role provides essential support to Centre Managers and Operations teams, ensuring accuracy, timely reconciliations, and a strong financial foundation for our organisation.

This is a Full-Time fixed term contract for 12months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile weekly centre bank account transactions with entries in the Xplor childcare management system.
  • Monitor AR processes, identify variances, and ensure corrections are actioned promptly and accurately.
  • Provide responsive support to Centre Managers and Operations teams on accounts receivable queries.
  • Review aged debt, liaise with external collection agents, and support the process with accurate documentation.
  • Process parent refunds and financial adjustments, ensuring approvals and accuracy in Xplor.
  • Record payments from external collection agents and issue tax invoices to third parties as required.
  • Review and record approved bad debts in Xplor.
  • Support month-end processes within required timelines.
  • Assist the Accounts Receivable Manager with ad hoc finance tasks and administrative duties.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment by following WHS policies and procedures.
  • Escalate risks and comply with risk management practices as required.

About You 

  • 2+ years in a similar role in a finance setting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across Support Office and centre teams.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
