About The Role:

As a Field Maintenance Fitter at Daunia mine, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mobile mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. This role involves working in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with site personnel to achieve safety and performance targets.

Field Maintenance Fitters will be employed on an even time rotating day/night roster (7on:7off).

What You'll Do:

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance across our fleet of excavators, dozers and shovel. Showcase your strong mechanical expertise, fault finding and diagnostic skills on a wide variety of Field Equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other team members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to environmental and safety standards.

What You'll Bring:

• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or heavy diesel fitting
• Minimum 2 years post trade, with proven experience in a mining maintenance environment particularly with mobile mining equipment
• Experience with Caterpillar 6040/6060 & Hitachi 3600 /5600 Excavators - 6040/6060, Caterpillar 7495 Shovel and D10 & D11 Dozers
• OEM Experience will be highly regarded
• Drivers Licence - C Class
• High levels of initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong commitment towards safety and quality.
