Mackay, Queensland, Australia Haber Excavations Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Haber Excavations is a regionally recognized civil construction and plant hire group with significant experience across all aspects of civil, design construction and project management of residential, commercial and government infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing :

  • Diagnose faults
  • Carry out service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work (to your own capability)
  • Check own work to ensure it is carried out to the manufacturer's requirements
  • Help train apprentices and assist other workshop personnel
  • Complete job cards correctly
  • Participate in on-call roster and attend offsite breakdowns
  • Experience with trailers (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised whilst maintaining a safe work are
  • Proven culture of safety, understanding hazard and risk assessment
  • A proactive approach to tasks and the ability to positively interact with director and  employees

About you :

  • Heavy vehicle mechanic qualification or any other mechanic qualification are essential with demonstrated work experience as a Mechanic
  • Works safely, team player, excellent communicator and problem-solver
  • Manual car licence
  • HR and forklift licence (desirable)
