As a Lead Analyst, Information Governance & Data Protection, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of data governance and privacy standards, and procedures to ensure the effective and compliant management of data across the organisation
  • Establish and maintain robust controls to safeguard personal and sensitive information, aligning with regulatory and organisational requirements
  • Monitor and assess compliance with data governance and privacy policies, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to strengthen control effectiveness
  • Develop and enhance data management practices, including data classification, metadata management, data lifecycle management, and privacy impact assessments
  • Analyse data governance and privacy metrics, audit findings, and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in data protection and policy effectiveness
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs to promote a culture of privacy, accountability, and adherence to data governance policies among staff

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Proven ability to develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures in a complex organisation
