South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation committed to supporting individuals of all ages and backgrounds. We offer a wide range of services, including Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth & Family Services, Domestic and Family Violence Services, and Disability Services across the South Burnett region.
As a registered NDIS provider, we are dedicated to empowering people with disabilities by providing tailored support services. Our team ensures that participants receive the care they need to thrive, fostering independence and community engagement.
Position OverviewThe Disability Support Worker - Supported Independent Living will play a key role in delivering high-quality support and care to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation. This position involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team to help participants achieve their NDIS goals and develop essential independent living skills.
As a member of the SIL Home team, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the household, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
Ideal Candidate ProfileWe are looking for compassionate individuals who are committed to empowering people with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or currently enrolled in a relevant course.
- Experience in Supported Independent Living.
- Demonstrated empathy and respect for participants.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work across various SIL homes and adapt to participant needs.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Disability Services Team Leader and will be expected to uphold the standards set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Pattern of WorkThis model involves a 28-day lifestyle roster. Below is the required pattern of work:
* Shift Hours: Day Shift (6am - 4pm) | Night Shift (4pm - 6am - including a sleepover period) *

Salary & BenefitsThe position offers a salary in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS), specifically at Social and Community Services Worker Level 2 ($ $37.73 per hour), plus salary packaging options.
