About the opportunity

An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated Psychologist to join our team. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, to grow with our organisation, and to be a part of a collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication and speech disorders.
• Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Offer guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress reports.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Psychology.
• Previous experience in Psychology within the NDIS preferable but not essential.
• Pre-existing registration with AHPRA (full or provisional registration).
• Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, their families and service providers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of legislation.
• Experience in working with people with complex needs including, complex trauma, adults and the elderly with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex and mental health diagnoses.
• A high level of written and verbal communication skills, particularly in advocacy, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution
• Ability to work to productivity targets.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.
• Hold a current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR.
• Hold a valid Australian driver's license.
