Summary:

The Banyans is Australia's market leader in the private mental health space, providing comprehensive one-on-one care for a variety of mental health, addiction and eating disorder concerns. Our Psychologists are positioned at the centre of our guests' recovery journey, case managing their treatment throughout their program, meeting with them multiple times each week, and working with a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team all invested in our guests' outcomes. Our psychologists are responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic input within one-on-one sessions, being creative and flexible with their approach, and ready to accept varying presentations as they appear.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, family, and on occasion group therapy sessions with patients to address emotional, behavioural, and psychological issues.
  • Assess and diagnose patients using appropriate assessment measures.
  • Develop treatment plans and goals based on patient needs and diagnoses.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical and allied health professionals to ensure care is coordinated for patients.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to patients during times of psychological distress.
  • Continue to seek out and engage in professional development

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in psychology-related field.
  • Registered with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a psychologist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment and treatment principles.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and other medical technology.
