Are you an experienced HR or Recruitment professional looking for your next contract within the public sector? We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HR & Recruitment Coordinator to join a busy and collaborative government team for a 12-month contract.

  • Competitive hourly rate of $58.02 per hour super
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday hours/week)
  • 12-month government contract starting 1 July 2025
  • Supportive and inclusive team environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate HR advice in line with legislation and internal policies
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Assist with developing and reviewing role descriptions
  • Ensure compliance with HR and workforce policies
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on workforce data and staffing arrangements
  • Maintain and update HR documentation and information systems
  • Support staff with general HR and procedural queries
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in HR and/or recruitment coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Confident working autonomously and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates initiative and a proactive attitude
Desirable:
  • Public sector or government experience (not essential)
  • Ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
