Logistics Officer

Our Logistics Officer is responsible for leading and optimising cane transport operations from field to mill to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, this role plays a key part in coordinating daily logistics activities, managing team performance, and supporting Wilmar's commitment to safety and operational excellence.
As Wilmar continues to modernise our operations, this role will also contribute to our digital transformation – leveraging data and insights to inform decisions on automation, and emerging technologies to deliver more efficient logistics outcomes.
Your responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Plan, monitor and optimise daily cane transport logistics to improve efficiency and minimise delays
- Manage and support logistics staff to deliver safe and effective operations
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Identify risks and ensure compliance with transport, environmental, and safety standards
- Build strong working relationships with growers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
About you:
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally within agriculture or a similar industry
- Proven leadership experience managing logistics or transport teams through system modernisation, automation and technology-led efficiencies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in logistics systems, spreadsheets, and data management tools
- A commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
