Additional Information:


• This role is permanent full-time, 76hrs/fortnight


• Applications close Monday, 1 September 2025


• You have the availability to work a range of hours between 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or Public Holiday shifts, as per business needs).


• As part of the recruitment process this role requires a national police check for final candidates.

About this work area

As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.


• Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.


• Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition.


• Engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea.


• Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.


• Constantly on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties.

Who you are

As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker you are:


• Passionate about the work of implementing your designs from a sketch into reality. You are a practical and hands on individual with proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.


• Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people's everyday life at home, grasping the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles.


• A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.


• Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.


• Experienced with programs such as REVIT. Having a Design qualification, previous Visual Merchandising experience and experience in Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office is preferred.
