The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Part Time Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join the Health and Therapy Services Team in Osborne Park and Joondalup. The Exercise Physiologist will provide comprehensive individual assessments and tailored exercise intervention programs for clients who are referred by their GPs under Medicare or who self-refer. The role involves a varied caseload working with clients under the Medicare, NDIS, and Workers Compensation Schemes. You will be working as part of our multidisciplinary team which includes Diabetes Educators, Dietitians, Physiotherapists and Psychologists.
The successful candidate will
- Provide comprehensive individual assessments and tailored exercise intervention programs for clients.
- Assist with the expansion and delivery of the Strength-to-Strength and exercise programs.
- Supervise small, gym-based exercise classes.
- Participate in the delivery of structured, self-management diabetes group programs.
- Conduct initial client assessments for our diabetes groups programs and run the exercise component for our Time 2 Manage Diabetes group programs.
- Assist the Health and Therapy Services Manager with the development of new Health and Wellness programs.
