A great opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Accountant to join this well established and reputable Public Accounting Practice located in the heart of Torquay.

This role will serve to support the Practice in all facets of accounting, with a high emphasis on tax management. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating client and associated entities affairs
  • Advising and consulting on all financial matters
  • Collection and compilation of relevant documentation
  • Preparation and lodgement of Quarterly BAS Statements
  • Maintaining and updating client payroll systems
  • Preparing Family and Business budgets
  • Preparation of Personal, Company, Trust, and Self-Managed Super Fund taxation returns
  • Participation in tax interviews with clients (Personal and Company related)
  • Liaison with senior members of the office and assisting with the development of processes and procedures
  • Providing, imparting knowledge, and supporting other members of the organisation

Simpli-U is seeking an individual with the following key qualifications and attributes:

  • Certified Public Accountant with CPA, or completing CPA or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Demonstrable and extensive experience in Taxation (Corporate and Personal)
  • Excellent knowledge of the QuickBooks Accounting System or equivalent accounting database
  • Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and financial acumen
  • Must have an all-round understanding of accounting and financial principles to be able to meet legal and compliance requirements
  • Superior customer service focus with ability to engage and adapt to all levels
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with team to ensure outcomes achieved

This role would suit an individual with sound experience in a public accounting practice.
