Supervisor Racking Installation

BDP Industrial Services Pty Ltd is an established company in the pallet racking industry, specialising in pallet racking installation and warehouse fit-outs. Due to an increase in projects, we are looking to employ a Sheetmetal Site Supervisor who is capable of installing pallet racking at various sites throughout Sydney / Brisbane / Melbourne / Adelaide / Perth.

The position involves:

· Review specifications for each installation project to determine equipment, materials, and manpower requirements.

· Mark out metal stock with reference points and lines using templates, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.

· Cut metal stock using hand and power shears, drills, and other appropriate tools.

· Shape and form cut metal stock where required, using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, and hammers.

· Fit and assemble components into final sheetmetal products, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

· Undertake on-site assembly and installation of sheetmetal products, including pallet racking and steel shelving.

· Finish assembled products by polishing, filing, sanding, and cleaning to ensure a high-quality final product.

· Repair and maintain sheetmetal products and components as required.

· Liaise with clients to confirm installation requirements and project timelines.

· Manage installation crew, plant, and equipment, including task allocation and delegation of duties.

· Apply and enforce all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies issued by the company and client.

· Operate a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

· Ensure the work environment is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

· Perform related duties as required to support project delivery and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate must:

· Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade / Certificate IV in Engineering (Sheet Metal)) or at least three years of relevant experience as a sheet metal worker

· Have a full Driver's License and own transport

· Hold a current Construction White Card

· Be reliable

· Be self-motivated and able to work safely under supervision and independently

· Be trained in the installation of sheet metal installation works (pallet racking)

Other attributes that will be looked on favourably but are not essential:

· forklift and/or scissor lift licence

· First Aid certification

Pay: $36.00 – $57.66 per hour
