ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking experienced shutdown supervisors to join our execution team for FIFO roles ex Perth, for ongoing work across the Pilbara. The role will be working alongside industry leaders, supervising highly skilled and specialised teams on new installations and major componentry change outs for top tier clients.

Ideally you will start your journey with DGE on a casual basis with the view of transitioning to full-time. However, full-time opportunities are available for the right candidates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct all DGE employees and subcontractors under your supervision of their roles, responsibilities, and duties.
  • Inspect work site and equipment periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance requirements.
  • Shall ensure the operators are trained, ticketed and competent to use tooling and equipment.
  • Ensure all tooling, equipment and vehicles are returned to correct areas and any damage is reported, tagged out and returned for repairs.
  • Assist as required in ensuring effective investigation of incidents and injuries and implement recommended corrective actions.
  • Assist with the execution of any other tasks as directed by the project manager.

Pre-requisites:

  • Minimum 2 years in a Supervisory role (or equivalent).
  • Australian Trade Certification.
  • Current and valid Schedule 26.
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence (C-Class).
  • Current and valid Police Clearance (or willing to obtain).
  • Current and valid client inductions (RTIO and Roy Hill).
  • Permanent Resident within Western Australia
  • Must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical including regular drug and alcohol screenings.

Desirable:

  • Current and valid licences (Working at Heights, Confined Space, High Risk EWP).
  • Current and valid client inductions (BHP and FMG).
  • Previous exposure with shutdown services or provider.
  • Previous experience associated with a Tier One Mining Organisation will be highly regarded.
