Reporting to our Executive General Manager of Parcels, Post & eCommerce Services, this role is a critical part of how we are going to continue to delight our customers and build a sustainable business.

About the opportunity

As our Head of Out-of-Home, you will be an enthusiastic champion of the customer-centric transformation that we are undergoing, responding to the evolving needs of Australians and businesses. Our 2025 Australia Post eCommerce Report showed us that 56% of Gen Z and 45% of Millennials would preference retailers to access out-of-home collection points, this highlights  the demand for secure, flexible, convenient and available delivery options. In this role you will deliver for our customers by ensuring our parcel locker network continues to grow and expand and deliver seamless experiences that delight shoppers, small businesses and large enterprises.

In this position you'll drive commercial and operational leadership, implementing and driving the strategy to make Out-Of-Home the preferred channel for parcel delivery & collection. You and the small team you guide, will work across our business, collaborating to develop a safe, frictionless and world leading customer experience from merchant cart to the shopper's hands. Orchestrating an end to end product Go-To-Market will be crucial to the success of this role and delivering on world leading NPS, revenue and cost parameters.

You will foster enterprise-wide collaboration, working closely with technology, network operations, and teams across our business. You will engage with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions and drive the increase of availability and adoption of parcel lockers. To this end you will build and orchestrate a balanced Out of Home marketplace and ecosystem that connects senders, receivers, hosts and operations to deliver seamless experiences and to drive value across our network.

What you'll deliver with us

  • Implement and lead our Out of Home strategy, positioning it as the preferred method for parcel collection and dispatch nationwide.
  • Own the commercial performance of the Out of Home portfolio, including profit & loss, investment planning and cost-to-serve.
  • Co-ordinate cross-functional delivery across product, operations, technology and customer experience ensuring alignment and speed to market.
  • Lead a nimble, agile, elite team of subject matter experts with specialties in Experience Design, Product & Program Management, Location & Infrastructure management.
  • Coach and develop the team to build their capability.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with host locations, technology vendors and internal stakeholders to build a sustainable, customer-centric ecosystem.
  • Drive innovation through agile product development maintaining a single backlog and adapting to market, customer & internal needs.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes in network expansion, Net Promoter Score uplift, EBIT improvement and operational efficiency.

About you

You will bring extensive experience leading senior teams and complex portfolios in large, matrixed organisations focused on project delivery. You will be adept at influencing at an executive level, aligning diverse stakeholders and driving outcomes through a complex business to achieve ambitious targets in a highly visible and crucial program of work. You will be able to negotiate and build strategic partnerships, gaining an understanding of the macro-economic and competitor environment.

You'll also need

  • A strong ability to lead an empowered Out-Of-Home strategy, go-to-market and programs function.
  • Demonstrated experience building strategic frameworks, and associated roadmaps for delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading program deployment through agile delivery methods.
  • A high capability to pull stakeholders together and to foster alignment towards the business goal of increasing our parcel locker network considerably.
