OneTorques Mechanical is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team on FIFO 2/1 roster from Perth. On this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile plant and equipment used across mining. This an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in adynamic and challenging environment.

What you will be doing;

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on variety of heavy diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems on CAT, Komatsu and Hitachi.

Carry out schedule servicing and maintenance to prevent future issues.

Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide technical advice.

Maintain detail records of work completed.

Ensure work is carried out with relevant safety standards and regulations.

Support the team and contribute to the overall efficiency of the workshop.

What we are looking for;

Formal qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or related field.

Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology or equivalen.

Minimum 5 years experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic preferably in mining, civil and transport industrie.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions hydraulics and systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills.

Commitment to safety and proven record of working safely.

Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.

Valid Australian work visa or equivalent legal work status is acceptable.

A current drivers license and own tools.

Class C drivers license is required as minimum.
