About the role:

As Insolvency Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments, working directly with business owners, directors, creditors, and stakeholders during critical periods of financial distress. You'll take the lead in conducting formal insolvency processes while guiding junior team members and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on businesses and communities, helping clients navigate financial hardship with professionalism, empathy, and commercial acumen.

What you will do

  • Manage a variety of formal and informal appointments, including liquidations, voluntary administrations, and receiverships

  • Conduct investigations, asset recoveries, and statutory reporting with a focus on integrity and efficiency

  • Liaise with company directors, creditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies such as ASIC and the ATO

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, financial assessments, and stakeholder communications

  • Oversee case progression and delegate work to junior team members where appropriate

  • Mentor and support junior staff in developing technical and professional skills

  • Identify potential risks and recommend strategies for mitigation or resolution

  • Contribute to business development efforts through client referrals and stakeholder relationship management

About you

  • 4–6 years' experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring, or turnaround

  • Experience managing files from end to end across a range of formal insolvency appointments

  • In-depth understanding of relevant legislation including the Corporations Act, Bankruptcy Act, and ASIC/AFSA compliance

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client-facing presentations

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure

  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with high levels of commercial awareness

  • Motivated by delivering meaningful outcomes to financially distressed businesses

  • Completed or working towards CA/CPA and/or ARITA qualifications (preferred)
