The Procurement and Supply Department are looking for a Purchasing Officer to join their committed team. As the Purchasing Officer, you will collaborate within a dedicated team of purchasing officers to support the efficient and compliant execution of transactional purchasing processes for Metro South Health.

About the Role

  • Undertake cost effective and innovative purchasing, inventory management, invoice verification and contract management support to clients.
  • Assist with the housekeeping aspects of the role, such as receipt and invoice reconciliation, while ensuring back-order reports are kept up to date and actioned.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and supply coordinators to understand customer needs, deliver training, and offer ongoing support.
  • Liaise with and respond to complex customer / vendor and accounts payable inquiries and problem solve accordingly.
  • Have demonstrated experience in the use of S/4HANA or a similar operating system.
