Network Infrastructure Support Specialist

Vault Cloud is the national leader of providing highly secure and scalable sovereign hyperscale cloud capability to the Australian Government, National Intelligence Community and Critical Infrastructure sector. Vault is entering a defining phase of growth, bolstered by a strategic $22.5 million investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC). This funding will be instrumental in scaling our SECRET Cloud and introducing services like the AUKUS cloud capability, directly meeting Australia's national security demands and strengthening relationships across government and the private sector. To support this expansion and our commitment to securing the nation's critical data, we are currently bolstering our Operations Team.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Network Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our Canberra office and play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and security of Vault's next-generation Hyperscale Cloud infrastructure.

As a member of the team you will contribute by:

• Infrastructure Mastery: Maintain, support, and enhance the configuration of the critical hardware and software underpinning Vault's hyperscale cloud regions.
• Engineering Collaboration: Partner with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to design, innovate, and support advanced infrastructure solutions.
• Expert Resolution: Apply your Subject Matter Expertise to own and resolve complex technical issues, providing first-rate support across all Hyperscale Cloud Regions.
• Operational Integrity: Uphold compliance by strictly adhering to ITIL standards and Corporate Governance, ensuring all documentation is current.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively drive enhancements in operational processes, procedures, and functions across the business.
• Participating in rotating oncall rosters

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

• The scope of this role requires an Australian Government Security Clearance; therefore, applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
• Proficiency with Linux Operating Systems.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+ (or similar).
• High-level Proficiency with: Enterprise Network Infrastructure and maintenance; TCP/IP and related protocols including routing protocols such as BGP; Network security technologies such as Firewalls
• Experience working in operational environments including: Working in an ITSM environment using tools such as Jira; DevSecOps workflows via CI/CD pipelines using e.g., GitLab; Experience with the following will be highly-regarded:
• L2 over L3 – VXLAN, Genieve, EVPN; Network Operating Systems – ONIE, Cumulus, SoNIC; Firewalls – Fortigate/FortiOS, OPNsense, pfSense; Software Defined Networking – Openstack/Neutron; Network Resiliency and Redundancy – Etherchannel/Bonding/LAG, Multi-Chassis LAG (MLAG), VRRP; Automation tools e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins
