Event Coordinator - Puppy Yoga Events - Part-Time

(1) Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, energetic and highly reliable Event Coordinator to run Yoga Paws' puppy yoga events in Sydney. This is a hands-on, people-facing role perfect for someone who loves dogs, thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys creating memorable experiences for clients. You will be the main on-site lead every Sunday, ensuring our events run smoothly from start to finish, with occasional Saturday availability as needed.

Experience is not necessary.

(2) Core Responsibilities

Event Facilitation

  • Arrive on-site before event start time to set up the studio, organise mats, pens, signage and event layout.
  • Run all sessions throughout the day, keeping to schedule and maintaining an upbeat, welcoming environment.
  • Greet clients at check-in, answer questions, manage flow of attendees and uphold the standard of experience expected from our brand.
  • Confidently facilitate the session introduction, safety briefing and transitions between classes.

Puppy Care and Welfare

  • Monitor the puppies throughout each session to ensure they are happy, comfortable and safe.
  • Support their socialisation by creating a calm, positive environment.
  • Recognise when puppies need breaks, rest or space, and manage this appropriately.
  • Work closely with breeders or rescue partners on the day to maintain welfare standards.

Customer Interaction

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a friendly, approachable presence at all times.
  • Handle client inquiries, concerns or feedback professionally and positively.
  • Navigate group dynamics and ensure all participants feel included and respected.

Equipment and Logistics

  • Store a small amount of equipment at home (such as mats, signage and lightweight items).
  • Conduct weekly cleaning of equipment during your own spare time to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Transport equipment to and from the event location using your own vehicle.
  • Keep inventory organised and inform management of any replacements needed.

(3) Requirements

  • Available every Sunday from 7am to 5:30pm, with flexibility for occasional Saturdays.
  • Drivers licence and personal car (non-negotiable).
  • Ability to store and clean a small amount of equipment weekly.
  • Confident, punctual, reliable and customer-focused.
  • Comfortable handling puppies, interacting with clients and managing fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Long-term availability in Sydney preferred.
  • No prior experience required. Training provided.

(4) What We're Looking For

A friendly, upbeat person who genuinely loves dogs and people. Someone who takes pride in running smooth, well-organised events and can bring positive energy to a full day of sessions. You should be reliable to your core, able to think on your feet and committed to building a long-term role with our Sydney team.

(5) Hours and Structure

  • Part-time weekend role
  • Primary commitment: Sundays
  • Hours: 7am to 5:30pm
  • Additional flexible tasks during the week (light cleaning and equipment upkeep)
  • $30 per hour, paid breaks across the day, plus superannuation and leave entitlements.

This is a long-term position suited for someone wanting stable weekend work, such as a uni student or someone with a flexible weekday schedule. You will be a key team member ensuring our Sydney events maintain the standard that our customers expect and love.

Oh yeah, it is the most fun job in the world, and is incredibly rewarding. You're not just running events - you're supporting puppy socialisation, helping them grow confident around people, and working alongside some amazing breeders and rescue partners who deeply care about their pups.

You'll be part of an incredibly warm, happy and uplifting community of attendees who come ready for good vibes, big smiles and the cutest chaos imaginable. Every event feels special, the energy is always high, and you get to be the person who brings it all together.

Email your resume and cover letter to - We do not accept ai-generated cover letters or resumes (I will know). Admissions close as soon as we find the right candidate

Kind regards,

Harry
