JV and Corporate Accountant

Perth, Western Australia NES Fircroft Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

We are working with our global oil and gas client recruiting for a JV/ Corporate Accountant to join them on an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities:


• Corporate Accounting/General activities;

• Operated Joint Venture accounting;

• Non-Operated Joint Venture accounting;

• Accounting support to provide data necessary to fulfil Company Tax Obligations;

• Support statutory, JV and other audits;

• Provide assistance and support to Corporate and JV team, including AP;

• Proactive involvement in improving business processes

• Budgeting/ cash calls/ Expenditure statements

• Produce the monthly timetable;

• Liaise with Treasury, AP, Corporate and JV teams to ensure month end reporting deadlines are achieved;

• Monthly accruals and other journals, as required;

• Reconciliation of JV and other Balance Sheet accounts;

• Completion of Business Activity Statements;

Skills and Experience:


• Degree in Commerce/Business, CA or CPA qualified or nearing completion;

• At least 3-5 years experience in a joint venture accounting or related role within the resources industry.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel. Sound knowledge of SAP accounting systems;

• Good analytical skills, good communication skills, team player possessing initiative and is self-motivated
