About the Role

As a Training Product Development and Implementation Coordinator, you'll play a vital supporting role to the Team Lead, helping AUSMASA deliver innovative, nationally consistent training products that shape the future of the mining and automotive sectors.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be right at the heart of project delivery, coordinating activities, preparing documentation, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly. If you thrive on collaboration, love turning ideas into tangible outcomes, and have experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and technical writing, this is your opportunity to make a real impact on Australia's skills and workforce capability.

This is a Fixed-Term opportunity till June 2028.

Key Focus Areas

  • Support the Team Lead in coordinating end-to-end development and implementation of training products, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Draft, edit, and prepare training products and project documentation, applying technical writing skills and VET knowledge.
  • Gather, analyse, and integrate stakeholder feedback into product design and delivery.
  • Coordinate consultation activities with industry, government, and training providers.
  • Assist the Project Management Office (PMO) in monitoring timelines, risks, and project deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain consultation logs, proposals, reports, and updates for advisory groups, management, and government.
  • Support Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) by assisting with the development of learning resources to enhance training delivery.
  • Map VET pathways (including apprenticeships and traineeships) in partnership with state and territory training authorities.
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and analyse data to support continuous improvement.

About You

You're detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to improve Australia's training system. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes.

You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to education, training, or skills development.
  • Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination or training product development.
  • Strong research, technical writing, and report preparation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, geographically dispersed team.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in stakeholder engagement.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the mining and/or automotive industries.
  • Experience in VET quality assurance and compliance.
  • Familiarity with data analysis to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Previous experience in higher education or workforce development roles.
