The opportunity

The Senior Business Process Analyst plays a critical role in connecting business needs with effective solutions. Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, responsible for leading business process improvement, analysis, and optimization initiatives across the organization. 

The role drives improvements by analysing processes, identifying issues, defining requirements, and ensuring that solutions, often technology or efficient process driven, deliver genuine business value and align with strategic objectives. By leveraging data, the role helps to transform inefficiencies into actionable insights, ensuring projects address the right problems and enhance operations for improved outcomes and competitiveness.

The role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, scalable, and aligned to key objectives.

Description of division and business unit

North is a key growth business for AMP and supported by a substantial investment in transformation. It exists in a very competitive market, and a robust regulatory environment, which requires regular reviews of strategic direction and operational emphasis. The target segment for Platforms is mass affluent through the advised channel, with some service provided directly to clients that become unadvised.

About the role:

• Elicit, analyse, lead end-to-end process analysis and optimisation
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions
• Conduct and Design future-state processes aligned with business goals and operating model
• Support design, evaluation, and implementation of solutions across complex programs
• Develop and maintain SOPs and governance documentation
• Translate business needs into system and functional requirements
• Lead digital and automation process improvements
• Identify process improvement opportunities 
• Identify risks and ensure alignment with governance and delivery frameworks

About you:

• 5+ years' experience in Business, Process Analysis or Transformation
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation skills with the ability to operate across business and technology teams
• Strong background in business process, SOP analysis and future-state modelling / BPM
• Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality, pragmatic outputs within tight deadlines
• Experience working in financial services, superannuation and or property services
• Proven Successful delivery of transformation projects or programs
• Prior Wealth platforms and lending experience
• Prior experience working with operations teams to enhance key processes
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, IT, or related field
• BABOK/CBAP or equivalent Business Analysis Certification (Preferred)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification (Preferred)
