VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that manages the 40-year Concession Deeds governing the joint venture between VicRoads and the State Government. As a Senior Contracts Advisor, you will play a critical role in interpreting and applying complex contractual frameworks, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with obligations. You'll collaborate across legal, commercial, and operational functions to enable strategic initiatives and informed decision-making. This role offers the chance to influence high-impact projects, build strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the long-term success and sustainability of a major public–private partnership.
About you
You are a skilled and motivated contracts professional who thrives on analysing complexity and turning it into clear, actionable advice. With strong expertise in contract law and commercial principles, you apply critical thinking and sound judgment to manage risk, ensure compliance, and enable successful business outcomes.
You're confident working independently while knowing when to collaborate and you bring professionalism, attention to detail, and a balanced perspective to every task. Your ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, influence outcomes, and navigate complex partnerships makes you a trusted advisor.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in law or contract management.
- Deep understanding of contract law and commercial frameworks.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex contractual obligations while balancing commercial and strategic considerations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative and influential stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused mindset.
