About this Opportunity

You will join
the Strategic Planning & Property team and take the lead on major property
development projects. From strategic planning through to execution, you will
oversee the full project lifecycle and ensure alignment with the City's goals
and community aspirations.

What you will
be doing:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end
    development projects that support strategic growth and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal and
    external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, community-focused outcomes.
  • Oversee project finances,
    timelines, and compliance in line with local government legislation and
    planning frameworks.
  • Influence and shape the future
    of property and land development within the City.

About You

You will bring:

  • A degree in property
    (valuation, economics, development etc.), project management, planning or a
    related field, with 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven success delivering
    complex development projects from inception to completion, including financial
    feasibility, reporting and cross-functional team leadership.
  • A collaborative, people-first
    mindset with the ability to build strong relationships and navigate complex
    stakeholder environments.
  • Flexibility to thrive in a
    fast-paced, evolving environment and a willingness to support a lean team
    structure.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated
    successful experience in managing land and/or built form property development
    projects including investigating development opportunities, business cases,
    feasibilities, planning processes, financial management and budgets, project
    delivery, specialist contract management and stakeholder and community
    engagement.
  2. Experience with
    applying effective project management principles and practices (including the
    preparation of strategies and reporting as they relate to development projects.
  3. Experience with leasing
    preparation, negotiation and management.
  4. Advanced communication and
    negotiation skills and ability to facilitate successful outcomes with various
    customers and stakeholders.

Hours of Work

This is a
fixed term 5-year contract working Monday to Friday, 75 hours per fortnight.  A flexible work arrangement option such as
flexitime, a 9-day fortnight or 19-day month is available. We also welcome
applicants seeking flexible arrangements, including part-time (3–4 days per
week) or school hours, as we value diverse working needs.

About the Benefits

The salary
range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 per annum (depending on
qualifications and experience), plus superannuation. Other benefits include:
