Purchasing Officer – Temporary Contract - Immediate Start

We're seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to join a caravan manufacturer on a temporary contract (approx. 6 weeks, with potential to extend). You'll help order materials, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and process purchase orders in line with production and inventory needs
  • Source materials, parts and services from approved suppliers
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure on-time delivery
  • Assist with resolving delivery delays, discrepancies or quality issues
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information
  • Support the Senior Purchasing Officer with reporting and supplier reviews
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in purchasing or procurement support
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Certificate or Diploma in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment desirable
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory control
