The Opportunity:H.P Heavy Industry Pty Ltd are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake scheduled, planned and corrective maintenance to fixed plant and machinery with the focus on preventing downtime and keeping equipment running smoothly and reliably.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to maintain optimal production output.
  • Carry out repair action required to manufacturer's specifications and relevant Australian standards.
  • Isolate equipment and follow strict safety and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct mechanical fitting, welding, and basic fabrication work.
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery.
  • Record accurate maintenance tasks and reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Uphold high standards of safety, housekeeping, and waste minimization.

**Job Requirements:

1.Essential:**

  • Can-do, positive attitude towards to work and teammate.
  • Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Valid full Australian Driver's Licence and White Card.
  • Experienced in Hydraulic tech, GBX, motor, pulley replacement in conveyor system; and a minimum of 2 years' solid experience in fixed plant maintenance.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and experience to solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely manage a variety of tasks and achieve effective and timely outcomes.
  • Proficient in interpreting a variety of technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Actively seek out ways for continuous improvement.
  • Provide a satisfactory National Police Check certificate, and full working rights.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

2.Desirable:

  • Tickets: Work at Heights, EWP High Risk Work, Confined Space, Gas Testing.
