Who are we?

Landpower and the CLAAS Harvest Centre network is the largest privately-owned farm machinery distribution network in Australasia. We sell and service machinery to farmers and their contractors from our locations throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Our Christchurch and Melbourne offices co-ordinate wholesale activities and provide support functions across the retail network. As a family-owned business we recognise the importance and value of the long-term relationships that we have grown over the last 45 years with our international partners.

What's the job?

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and further enhancing our parts distribution strategy across Australia and New Zealand. You will lead and support high-performing parts teams in Melbourne and Christchurch, and champion efficiency and best practice throughout our expanding retail network. As our principal Australian logistics hub for parts and machines, the Melbourne operation continues to grow, providing ongoing opportunities to refine and advance safe, efficient site operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership for parts operations across Melbourne and Christchurch, as well as the Melbourne logistics, assembly, and yard teams.
  • Lifting capability across the retail network by supporting and developing parts functions and practices.
  • Overseeing and ensuring robust stock accuracy and stock-management standards are upheld across the network.
  • Cultivating strong, effective partnerships with freight and logistics providers to support operational excellence.
  • Collaborating with the Group IT team to drive the rollout of hardware and process enhancements across the network.
  • Identifying and executing opportunities to streamline regional parts operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Championing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction across the network.
  • Working with the Learning and Development team to lead the design and delivery of parts training programs.

  • Someone with solid knowledge of machinery—how it functions, how it is used, and the environments in which it operates.
  • Ideally, a tertiary-qualified professional with a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
