Toolijooa Environmental Restoration is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. With operations spanning metro and regional NSW and QLD, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead our people strategy, uplift leadership capability and design HR solutions that genuinely support the business.

This is not a purely operational HR role. While you will need to 'roll up your sleeves' and oversee core HR functions, the real value of this position lies in strategy, structure, and complex people leadership, working closely with senior leaders to shape the future of the organisation.

Your new roleReporting to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the HR function across the Group.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and executing a contemporary HR strategy aligned to business goals, growth plans and

culture

• Reviewing and redesigning HR team structure, responsibilities and service delivery models

• Leading complex employee and industrial relations matters with confidence and sound judgement

• Developing and managing project plans for priority HR initiatives, delivering outcomes alongside BAU

• Building internal and external capability to implement, embed and sustain HR frameworks and

systems

• Partnering with leaders to uplift people management capability, accountability and performance

• Providing strategic advice on remuneration, workforce planning and organisational design

• Overseeing HR operations and administration, ensuring effective delivery across recruitment,

onboarding and employee records

• Ensuring compliance across employment legislation, IR, WHS and governance obligations

• Leading Workers Compensation, wellbeing and psychosocial risk initiatives

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in a senior HR Generalist or HR Manager role

• Strong working knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation

• Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, with a practical, hands-on

mindset

• Experience supporting operational, blue-collar or geographically dispersed workforces (highly

regarded)

• Confidence handling complex ER and IR matters

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at leadership level

• A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with high levels of organisation and resilience

• A genuine interest in environmental sustainability and purpose-driven work
