The opportunity

Aussie Grooming Solutions (AGS Grooming) is seeking an experienced Senior Dog Groomer and Grooming Teacher to join our team in Tullamarine, VIC. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our wonderful clients as well as teaching our short and intensive grooming courses.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and styling dogs of all breeds and sizes.
  • Identify and address any skin or coat issues, and provide recommendations for treatment or maintenance
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised grooming environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients. Checking in and out dogs, managing payments / cash and scheduling appointments.
  • Teach a class of a maximum of 4 students to a high professional standard. Following course outlines and teaching practical hands-on grooming skills to students with little to zero experience.

What we're looking for

  • Full Monday - Saturday availability preferred with flexible hours.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional dog groomer.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment under a high-stress environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic grooming environment
  • If applying for dog grooming teacher, a minimum of 5 years grooming experience is required.
