Our Mother Duck Wynnum Centre was designed by an award-winning architect and features  state of the art studio spaces and playground facilities. We are a 130 placed centre with superior resources with amazing natural outdoor learning environments. Our educators are committed to providing young children with the best start to quality care and education. We are a five minute walk to the train and just across from the bus stop.

About The Role:

We approach early childhood education and care with a focus of 'thinking outside the box' and are looking for experienced Lead Educators who want to learn and grow while being supported by a highly qualified team as well as a, non contact Pedagogical Coordinator. We value educational research and are looking for a team member who will be a true advocate for the children in their care.

We believe every child is deserving of our time, care, and being treated with the utmost respect.Our child care Centre is a haven, free of rush, where children and educators work alongside and learn from each other. We aim to provide a workplace where alleducators are valued and have input into decisions regarding children's learning and development.

Mother Duck educator's engage in weekly programming meetings with their whole teamof educators, where the newest educators and most experienced educators come together, alongside the Pedagogical Coordinator, to dive into research around child development together.This ensures we constantly strive to provide the highest quality programs for children.

Responsibilities:

To be actively involved in the development of an age appropriate program that alights each child's investigation, physical, emotional and social wellbeing;

• Collaborate with the Studio team to complete documentation of children's development and learning;
• Collaborate with the studio team in providing a haven for children to feel safe and secure;
• Collaborate with the Studio team to provide children with a clean, safe and inviting learning environment;
• Engage in professional and respectful communication with families, children and the Studio team;
• Assist in the running of Studio Meetings / Professional conversations.
• Contribute to the philosophy of the educational curriculum and actively live the values and vision of the centre and Mother Duck;
• Support your peers in striving for high quality curriculum, practices and environments;
• Collaborate with the centre team at professional conversations to extend and deepen our understanding of child development.

Skills and experience:

• Certificate 3 In Children's Services or Diploma in Children's Services or working towards
• Current Blue Card;
• Current First aid and CPR;
• Current approved anaphylaxis and asthma management certificates.
