About The Role
As a Reconciliation and Chargeback Analyst, you will play an integral role operating in the Claims and Chargeback unit and the Settlement and Reconciliation unit of the business. Your role will be pivotal to ensure all funds flows are concise, investigations and claims and chargebacks are carried out within our business guidelines and all reconciliations are finalized to meet our KPIs. You will be confident in dealing with customers and making decisions.
What You'll Own
- Collaborate with team members to manage daily processing on payment platforms, ensuring alignment with business KPIs
- Reconcile bank statements and merchant settlements daily
- Ensure reconciliation batches and corresponding entries are processed accurately across all systems
- Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction
- Processing and reconciling Merchant/Payer disputes, posting chargeback credit card charges, bank account claims and maintaining documentation of claims and chargebacks
- Identify, report, and investigate exceptions to ensure the integrity of our trust position
- Continuously identify opportunities for process and operational improvements, driving initiatives through to completion
- Respond to processing-related inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain up-to-date procedures for daily processing, bank reconciliations, disputes, claims, chargebacks, and refunds
- Foster knowledge sharing and cross-training within the team, promoting effective collaboration and communication.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Other related duties assigned as needed
What You Bring
- High level of attention to detail
- A high-level of experience in Microsoft Office suite
- Salesforce experience
- Inquisitive with the ability to investigate complex financial queries
- Skilled in analytical and statistical examination
- Experience with financial functions e.g. Posting/adjusting financial ledgers
- Internal/external audit experience
- Knowledge of Direct Debit and Credit Card scheme rules for specific country regulatory requirements
- Experience working with card schemes and card acquirers directly
- Able to work flexible hours
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to produce management information reports
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
