Client Tax Reporting - Senior Analyst / Manager
This role is well suited to someone looking to make their first move from a chartered accounting firm or to deepen their knowledge within banking, or from an exisiting tax reporting role looking for a more complex environment.
You will have a strong background and understanding of Tax, managing tax reporting requirements for the ATO, particularly for Client Tax reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax reports as per ATO and other external party requirements
- Utilise your skills in data analysis to support decision-making processes, create and maintain detailed documentation, and perform detailed analysis and impact assessments on regulatory matters
- Analyse financial data and perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy of tax submissions to the ATO
- Monitor and interpret new tax reporting requirements for the business
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and resolve reporting discrepancies and deliver on outcomes
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
Experience:
- CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience in the banking or non-bank lending industry and knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, particularly for Client Tax reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of ATO client reporting requirements
- Experience in a large, complex tax reporting environment in banking or wealth management will be highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment adhering to pre-determined timeframes
