Tax Reporting / Transformation - Manager

An excellent opportunity for someone looking to make their first move from a chartered accounting firm looking to deepen their knowledge within banking, or from an exisiting tax reporting role looking for a more complex environment.

You will have a strong background and understanding of Tax, managing tax reporting requirements for the ATO, and can streamline the reporting and uplift the overall environment around tax; processes, policies, governance, reporting, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax reports as per ATO and other external party requirements
  • Utilise your skills in data analysis to support decision-making processes, create and maintain detailed documentation, and perform detailed analysis and impact assessments on regulatory matters
  • Analyse financial data and perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy of tax submissions to the ATO
  • Monitor and interpret new tax reporting requirements for the business
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and resolve reporting discrepancies and deliver on outcomes
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy

Experience:

  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with or in large, complex tax reporting environment in banking or wealth management will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, particularly for client tax reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of ATO client reporting requirements
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment adhering to pre-determined timeframes
