Auto Electrician

Bruce Rock Engineering is looking for an experienced Auto Electrician who will be responsible for all works relating to the installation maintenance and repairing of electrical wiring in the manufacture and assembly of new trailers and other equipment relating to Bruce Rock Engineering.

Forrestfield, WA, From $79,000

Geraldton, WA, From $85,000

Port Hedland, WA, From $105,000

This position is/includes:

Full Time Permanent

Various rosters available

Tool Allowance $35.00 paid fortnightly

Key responsibilities include:

• Assemble and install electrical systems including various trailer lights, fuses, battery components, and other electrical-specific parts in accordance with established guidelines
• Schedule and perform routine checks and maintenance on electrical systems and the components.
• Service and repair road transport equipment, in relation to electrical components.
• Read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions to fit electrical components in new trailers and other equipment, accurately and efficiently, adhering to BRE's high quality standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections of assembled trailers to identify and rectify any electrical defects, ensuring all trailers meet or exceed quality and safety standards before finalisation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot any electrical issues or discrepancies that arise during assembly, working to find effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of completed assembly tasks, including part usage, hours worked, and any issues encountered during the assembly process.

About you:

• Electrical trade qualification essential.
• Hold a current LF (forklift) licence or willing and able to obtain one.
• Sound knowledge of electrical systems, including diagnostics.
• Knowledge of EBS systems used on trailers (desirable)
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to show initiative and proactivity.
