About The Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Tissue Viability provides an advanced level wound assessment and management service as an expert in the specialty field and facilitates linkages and relationships with network hospitals (and affiliated services), nurses and medical officers (in the acute and community settings) to support the management of patients with acute, chronic and complex wounds.
The CNC is responsible for the provision of expert clinical advice, coordination, leadership and consultancy services within the wound assessment and management service and target populations within the designated network.
Responsibilities Include
- Development, implementation and evaluation of care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
- Providing leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice.
- Initiating and utilising findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs
- Participating in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service
