THE ROLE

Title:Site Manager (Construction)

Type

• Full time - Monday-Friday, typically between the hours of 6.30am-3pm
• Based on Construction Sites in around Southeast Queensland

Purpose

• To manage all aspects (coordination, program, work quality, safety & cleanliness) of your construction site, alongside your dedicated Project Manager, to ensure successful and compliant delivery, whilst on time & under budget

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination –proactively coordinate & communicate with all Visage employees & subcontractors onsite to ensure works are delivered in a safe & quality manner.
• Program Management –work alongside your relevant Project Manager to keep your project on program, including proactively calling up subcontractors in advance to when their works will commence onsite.
• Work Quality –work with all Visage employees & subcontractors to ensure quality work is delivered compliant to National Construction Code & Australian Standards. Timely closing out of any defects to a quality standard.
• Safety –ensure all works on your site are delivered in a safe manner, whilst working alongside your relevant project manager & third-party safety consultant.
• Site Cleanliness –ensure your site remains in a tidy & organised condition, keeping works onsite efficient for all Visage employees & subcontractors.
• Peer Reviews –review upcoming project scopes & programs to ensure site input and thoroughness to consider the 'constructability' aspects of your upcoming projects. This also includes 'invasive inspections' on relevant refurbishment projects.
• Administration- work with the project delivery team to maintain documentation management, finalise and upload project progress reports, etc.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The non-negotiable requirements for our role include:

Experience/Skills

• 5 years' experience in Construction (commercial/industrial/residential)
• 1-2 years' experience in Site Manager or Site Foreman roles or equivalent (e.g. second in command)

Characteristics

• Problem solving skills - analytical thinking, creative & practical problem solving, attention to detail
• Communication skills - excel within a team environment, effectively communicate with stakeholders from the preconstruction team through to project completion
• Project management skills – proactively planning & organising your site
• Good can-do attitude/alignment to company values – willing to roll up the sleeves & work on the tools to keep your site moving
• Team player – driving a good positive culture onsite, everyone is in it together & no-one is above the team
