About the business and the role

A growing Civil company working in South East Queensland is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its team. We specialise in a diverse range of civil construction and infrastructure projects. These services include detailed earthmoving and large scale bulk earthworks, excavation, drainage and services, infrastructure works, sub divisons, concrete structures, car parks and road works.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage in conjunction with the Project Manager the day to day operations on site. Supervise sub-contractors, staff, resources and plant.
  • Continuous monitoring of construction programs throughout the life of the project ensuring practical completion times are met.
  • In conjunction with the project manager planning the resources required to achieve the construction program (plant, labour and subcontractors).
  • Planning and implementing the procurement of materials and subcontractors to achieve construction programs.
  • Produce site specific paperwork.
  • The company's overall HSE requirements.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated significant civil construction management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and management on site. Ability to work effectively as a team leader of a multi disciplinary team in a civil and construction environment.
  • Good communication skills when discussing project scope with client, superintendent, sub-contractors and staff.
