Van der Meer Consulting is a Structural, Civil and Hydraulic consulting engineering group with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. This rapidly expanding company is currently seeking a suitably qualified 
Civil Engineer

for our Brisbane office.

Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum

Bachelor of Engineering in Civil.
- Minimum 5 years' civil engineering experience gained within a consultancy environment.
- Proficient in SW and Water/Sewer design within SEQ Councils.
- Sound understanding of DA/ OPW/CA/ Post Construction within SEQ.
- Have demonstrated experience in the design of relevant projects including: Road & Drainage Design, Bulk Earthwork Design, Stormwater & Flood Analysis, Client liaison and Project control.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Sound knowledge and application of Australian Standard design codes, relevant design techniques and construction procedures and techniques.
  • Experience in the use of software such as Autocad, DRAINs software, MUSIC and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and/ or 12D design software is desirable.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and work with other engineers, architects and design managers.
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to facilitating client needs.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be a team player.
