About the role

Pickney ELC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Beaumaris, Victoria. This is a part-time role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment that fosters the development and well-being of our students.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities and programs for children aged 0-5 years
  • Provide exceptional care and support to children, ensuring their safety, health, and emotional needs are met
  • Observe and document children's progress, identifying any developmental needs or concerns
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's learning and development
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Cert III acceptable but must be working towards Diploma)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in a similar setting
  • Strong understanding of child development, pedagogy, and the implementation of play-based learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing care
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check
