About the role

Saray Market Butchery is seeking a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our team in our Adelaide, South Australia location. This full-time role will involve hands-on meat processing and customer service duties, contributing to the success of our thriving local business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Expertly cut, prepare, and package a variety of meats according to customer specifications
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by offering product knowledge and recommendations
  3. Assist with inventory management, stock control, and store presentation
  4. Maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene practices
  5. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and meet business objectives

What we're looking for

  1. Formal butchery qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  2. Strong knowledge of various meats, cuts, and preparation techniques
  3. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide expert advice
  4. Keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and quality
  5. A team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
