Psychologist

About the Role

Flinders University Health, Counselling and Disability Service is looking to establish a service contract for a Clinical/Registered Psychologist to join a multi-disciplinary team of General Practitioners, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals to provide support services to students. Working under the Medicare Better Access initiative, the Psychologist will provide up to 10 bulk-billed psychology services to students referred under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan. This opportunity is located at our Bedford Park Campus.

The Clinical/Registered Psychologist will:

• Possess an in-depth knowledge of the issues impacting on the mental health and wellbeing of University students and skills and experience in providing appropriate evidence-based treatments.
• Have a proven history of providing services under the Better Access initiative and awareness of the associated reporting requirements.
• Be a team plyer with proven ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.

Conditions for Employment

This is a Contractor role, with income generated through bulk-billed Medicare and Overseas Student Health Cover services. This is not a paid Flinders University staff member role.

• There is no capacity to charge a gap fee to students.
• Professional indemnity and public liability insurance required.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance required.
