A well-established electrical contractor servicing the commercial building sector is currently seeking experienced Trade Assistants and General Labourers to support the completion of one of their flagship projects based in Canberra.

Your new role

This role will be assisting the project delivery team with assisting in the installation of AV equipment on a large commercial fitout project. On a day-to-day basis, your duties will include:

  • Support cable management tasks including roughing in cables, bracketing, and securing cable runs. Help with mounting and positioning AV hardware and electrical components as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by performing general tidying and site clean-up duties.
  • Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas as needed.
  • Follow instructions from electricians and technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and site regulations at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

  • White Card
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Silica Awareness
  • Experience in assisting in electrical trades is desired but not mandatory.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to a project
  • Have the ability to pass a functional workplace assessment to demonstrate the ability to do manual handling activities.
