We are looking for a passionate and dedicated OOSH Coordinator to join our team here at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College

About the role

You will provide leadership and management to educators and staff regarding all aspects of the operation of the service in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures. Work closely with and provide periodical reports to the Operations Manager regarding matters relating to the operation of the service and support educators and staff with professional training and mentoring to effectively manage the service, whilst providing feedback regarding performance on a regular systematic basis.

Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College is an independent Preschool to Year 12 co-educational school providing Hunter Valley families with a globally innovative and future focused education for their children.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Nominated Supervisor position

    in an Out of School Hours Care/Vacation Care Service or minimum

    5 years' experience in a leadership position in an Out of School

    Hours Care service
  • Previous experience in administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff development and training
  • Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
  • Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS and MTOP framework
  • Demonstrated knowledge of service requirements of the childcare subsidy system and ability to perform software application for compliance

Essential criteria:

  • Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as listed

    on the approved qualification list by ACECQA), or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
  • Current First Aid Course in a Childcare Setting HLTAID012
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • National Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
  • Applicants will be screened for appropriate child protection purposes as we are a Child Safe School.
